Kathmandu, Shrawan 16 – As the festival of Teej approaches, a variety of Teej songs have already hit the market. Amid growing calls from some organizations to preserve the authenticity of Teej music, popular singer Sarita Bharti has released a new original song titled *"Nachna De..."* (Let Me Dance). She unveiled the music video on Thursday evening.
Sarita not only sang the song but also composed its melody, which she collected from the Gandaki Province. This marks her second Teej-themed release, following *"Rato Saari Larkkai..."* which she released five years ago. According to her, this time she has revived a traditional *ratyauli* melody popular in the Gandaki region to present a culturally rooted composition to her audience.
The lyrics of *Nachna De...* are also written by Sarita herself. The song was recorded by Jugal Dangol and mixed and mastered by Naresh BBC. Music creation and arrangement are by Om Sunar, with whom Sarita had previously collaborated on the folk duet *"Chhod Satāuna"* from the Far-Western region. Eight months after that release, she has once again worked with Om for this solo number.
Sarita also stars in the music video, which features performances by Soni Karanjit, Srijana Shrestha, Karuna Shrestha, Shweta Shrestha Kafle, Nisha Thapa Basnet, and Abira Rijal, among others. The video was shot at Ashraya Homestay in Machhegaun, with cinematography and editing by Rajendra Pandey.
Produced under the SB Creation banner, the video is available on the *SB Creation Nepal* YouTube channel. Krishna Rasal directed and choreographed the video. Known for his recent work in choreography and direction, Krishna has previously collaborated with Sarita on two other music videos—making this their third project together. The music video emphasizes dance as its central theme.
