"Film 'Maitighar" Reaches Real Audiences / Begins Highway Campaign

**Kathmandu:** The film *Maitighar*, which has been in the spotlight since its shooting phase, has now begun a widespread promotional campaign. In the current Nepali film industry, most filmmakers focus solely on digital promotion to reach niche or select audiences, relying heavily on trending media, online platforms, and reality shows where actors bask in applause and whistles. However, only a few producers and directors truly understand how to reach real audiences with their promotions. Among those few is successful producer Rohit Adhikari.

"Film 'Maitighar" Reaches Real Audiences / Begins Highway Campaign

He has initiated the promotion of the upcoming film *Maitighar*, scheduled for release on the day of Phulpati (a major day in the Dashain festival), targeting real audiences. With a keen understanding of cinema marketing, Adhikari started the campaign by placing hoarding boards along major highways—high-traffic areas frequented by hundreds of thousands of travelers daily. On Thursday, the film team installed a 20x50 foot flex poster at Naubise, one of the main exit points from the capital. "We're moving forward with plans to place hoarding boards across the country to ensure our promotion reaches real audiences, not just compete with others," said Karan Shrestha of distributor Rich Entertainment.

Adding further details in an interview with *Chitra Khabar*, producer Rohit Adhikari stated, “We have started the promotion targeting real audiences. We will utilize every promotional method to ensure the film reaches the real viewers.”

The film will be released simultaneously in Nepal and Australia. Himaro Entertainment has acquired exclusive rights for the Australian release. Directed by Milan Tamang under the banner of Rohit Adhikari Films, the movie features actors like Kedar Ghimire (Magne Budha), Dhiraj Magar, Prakash Saput, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Shyamashree Sherpa, Buddhi Tamang, Shishir Wangdel, Yubaraj Lama, Pushkar Gurung, and Rajani Gurung. The producers are Rabin Sherchan and Dhiraj Tamang, with Ishwar Shrestha and Niraj Katuwal as executive producers.

Based on a story by Chandrabahadur Dong, with screenplay and dialogue by Ramsharan Pathak, the film is shot by Sushan Prajapati. *Maitighar* will be released on Phulpati during the Dashain festival.
