Actor Nikhil Upreti and Actress Barsha Siwakoti are set to collaborate for the first time in a film. They will be featured as a pair in the film 'Kasturi'.

The film was announced on Sunday, coinciding with the festival of Tihar, and will be directed by Ritu Bohora, who is making her directorial debut with this project.

This film, which will be made in the suspense thriller genre, will be produced by Dheeraj Agrawal, who has made significant investments in more than five industries including food, plastics, and steel. Now, with 'Kasturi', he is also venturing into film production. Anjali Chaudhary is co-producing the film under his company Ten Entertainment.

Written by Brajesh Khanal, the film will feature performances from Nikhil, Barsha, Nisha Adhikari, Brajesh Khanal, Shekhar Chhapagain, Nirmal Sharma, among others. The cinematography will be done by Alok Shukla, and the music will be composed by Prashant Siwakoti. Filming is set to begin in Kathmandu from Mangsir (approximately mid-November). The film will explore themes of psychological tension, murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy.
