Kathmandu – Actress Simran Pant has been signed for the upcoming Nepali film "Aa Bata Aama", which will be directed by Chandra Pant. The production team officially signed her on Monday. In the film, she will be paired opposite actor Pal Shah.
Simran had previously acted in the film "Hostel 3", where her performance was praised. "Aa Bata Aama" will be her second film.
Earlier, actress Bipana Thapa and popular Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil actor Pradeep Rawat had already been signed for the film. Actor Rawat had previously appeared in "Hraswa Dirgha", also directed by Chandra Pant, where he played the role of actress Nita Dhungana’s father. In the new film, he will portray Pal Shah’s father.
Director Chandra Pant has previously directed "Mai" and "Hraswa Dirgha". Through "Hraswa Dirgha", Bipana Thapa made a comeback to the Nepali silver screen after 16 years. Now, she is set to work again under Pant’s direction.
Presented by Arya Entertainment, the film is set to begin shooting in the upcoming month of Bhadra (August/September). The producers stated that the rest of the cast and technical team, including Pradeep Rawat, Bipana, and Pal, will soon be finalized.
The theme poster of the film was released a month ago, and according to director Pant, the film is scheduled to be released on Fagun 15 (around late February).
