 **‘Koshedhunga’ Teej Song Goes Viral; Film Set for Release on Bhadra 12 (August 28)**


Kathmandu — The Teej special song *“Natra Bhane Jindagi Byartha Cha”* from the upcoming Nepali film *Koshedhunga* has gone viral within days of its release. According to director Saroj Paudel, over **20,000 TikTok videos** have already been created using the song. On YouTube, the song has surpassed **1 million views**, and on Facebook, it has garnered over **7 million views**.

“This is a graceful and culturally rooted presentation of a Teej song,” said Paudel. “The audience response has met our expectations. Thousands of new videos are being created daily.”


Penned by Netra Aryal, with music and hookline by Khem Century, the song is sung by Khem Century, Samikshya Adhikari, and Deepika Bayambu Magar. Featured within the film, the song reflects the contrasting emotional worlds of married and unmarried women. In the video, Surakshya Pant and Niti Shah represent the unmarried perspective, while Richa Sharma portrays that of a married woman.


Following the song’s popularity, the production team has announced a **TikTok contest**, open for submissions until **August 20**. Using the hashtag **#नत्रभनेजिन्दगीव्यर्थछ**, participants can compete to win:

* **NPR 10,000** for Most Liked Video


Presented by Nardevi Films in association with Sarangi Films, *Koshedhunga* is scheduled to release in theaters across Nepal on **Bhadra 12**. Directed by Saroj Paudel—known for *Purna Bahadurko Sarangi*—the film is already generating strong anticipation.


The film stars Surakshya Pant, Aryan Sigdel, Richa Sharma, Niti Shah, Praveen Khatiwada, Manjil Kumar, Saroj Khanal, Bishal Pahadi, Hiunwala Gautam, Dinesh Kafle, and Lokmani Sapkota. It is produced by Prebil Kandel and Kishor Anurag, with Dinesh Khadka as executive producer. The cinematography is by Babu Shrestha, editing by Nahkul Khadka, and music by Ashish Aviral and Rhythm Kandel. Casting direction is by Subalmani Sapkota.



*Koshedhunga* is poised to become the **first Nepali film to release simultaneously in 42 countries**, as confirmed by the production team. Distributed internationally by Seven Seas International, the team believes this global release marks a new milestone for the Nepali film industry.
